Day 1: Tuesday, 4th June 2019: Broome (D)
This morning fly to Broome with Qantas on flight QF1042, departing Sydney at 10:50 with an estimated arrival in Broome of 14:05. On arrival take a private airport charter to your hotel of stay – the Kimberley Sands Resort & Spa, where you will be staying for the rest of your stay.
Day 2: Wednesday, 5th June 2019: Broome Highlights (B,D)
A Discover Broome vehicle will pick you up from your hotel to commence a 2.5 Hour Broome sight-seeing tour. Enjoy a professional and entertaining introduction into Broome Time’ with our experienced local guides. The guide’s local knowledge will enhance visitor’s discovery of Broome’s natural, historical and cultural highlights. At the conclusion of the tour you will have the chance to try some pearl meat before being dropped back to your hotel. Day 3: Thursday, 6th June 2019: Pearls & Camels (B,D)
This unique 1.5 hour tour offers a guided commentary on Broome’s pearling history. Travel back in time to an era of courageous men who lived a life of danger, fortune and adventure. Visitors are captivated as 150 years of Broome’s unique maritime and pearling heritage is uncovered in the very environment where the history was made – amongst the mangroves on the foreshore of Roebuck Bay’s Dampier Creek. Pearl Luggers is located right in the heart of ‘Chinatown’ and features a fully rigged and restored pearl lugger surrounded by a replica inter-tidal jetty and tenders store. It is without doubt the closest link to the pearling era of long ago where daily life ebbed and flowed with the comings and goings of the great pearl luggers fleet. Day 4: Friday, 7th June 2019: Dolphin Cruise (B,D)
Morning at leisure. This afternoon Soak up the scenery in comfort and let Absolute Ocean Charters take you on a relaxing dolphin cruise around Broome’s beautiful coastline! Dolphin watching in Broome lets you get up close and personal with these intelligent and beautiful creatures as you also take in the stunning Broome scenery. We will cruise along Gantheaume Point, Reddell Beach, Entrance Point and Roebuck Bay learning about the biodiversity of fauna & flora in the area. Day 5: Saturday, 8th June 2019: Willie Creek Pearls (B,D)
Located just 38 kilometres north of Broome, Willie Creek Pearl Farm is perfectly situated on the scenic and protected tidal estuary of Willie Creek. With ever-changing scenery, wildlife and an array of things to do, Willie Creek offers a fantastic day out. Our award-winning tour shows visitor’s first-hand how we produce pearls at our commercial sea-lease. Guides accompany visitors all the way and show the process of culturing pearls from collection and spawning of oysters in our hatchery through to harvesting and the final product, stunning pearl jewellery. A demonstration using a live pearl oyster is given to reveal the technical and complex operation involved in starting the pearl process. Visitors are also taken out by boat to view farming operations on the water inside Willie Creek itself. Day 7: Monday, 10th June 2019: Windjana Gorge & Tunnel Creek (B)
Heading north to Willare Bridge, cross the mighty Fitzroy River and make a morning tea stop at one of the Kimberley’s most famous landmarks the Prison Boab Tree, once used to house convicts. Whilst here view Myalls Bore, a 120 metre long trough built in the early 1900’s used to water up to 1,000 head of cattle at one time. Leave the coast and travel inland along the famous “Gibb River Road”, once used as the main stock route for the region, before turning off to the pre-historic Windjana Gorge, regarded as one of the classic features of world geology and a great freshwater crocodile spotting site. Enjoy a picnic lunch, then head to Tunnel Creek, an amazing 750 metre long flooded cavern. Take an exciting walk through the tunnel wading through knee to thigh high water and hear the story of Jandamarra. Following afternoon tea, set off back to Broome with a stop on the way for dinner (own expense). Day 8: Tuesday, 11th June 2018: Departure (B)
Following breakfast take a private airport charter transfer to the airport to meet your flight home. Fly home on Qantas Flight QF1043, departing Broome at 14:45 and arriving into Sydney at 20:55

Mitchell Falls Explorer with King Leopold Air: A King Leopold representative will pick you up from your hotel in Broome, to commence a full day Mitchell Falls Explorer scenic flight tour. After departing Broome, head north over Roebuck Bay across the Dampier Peninsula and King Sound to the Horizontal Waterfalls, a unique and remarkable phenomenon. Circle the falls in both directions for photo opportunities. Exiting over the turquoise waters of Talbot Bay,and direct to the King Cascade waterfall located in the iconic Prince Regent River. Low level pass before heading off to the Mitchell Falls for orbits and a landing at the Mitchell Plateau. Stop for some morning tea and a rest before jumnping back into the aircraft and tracking via Kuri Bay and Montgomery Reef. Head out towards the myriad of deserted islands that comprise the Buccaneer Archipelago, first chartered by William Dampier in 1688. Fly on to the open cut iron ore mines of Koolan Island and Cockatoo Island. Landing at Cape Leveque, refreshments are provided overlooking the Indian Ocean. Take a refreshing break with a swim in the sheltered waters of the bay. The journey back to Broome takes in the many bays and beaches of the Dampier Peninsula’s west coast, including Pender Bay, Middle Lagoon, James Price Point, Willie Creek and world famous Cable Beach. Flight time is approximately 5.3 hours. This spectacular day concludes at approximately 5.00pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.

Journey up the Cape Leveque Road and learn about the area’s fascinating place in Australia’s history. Enjoy morning tea in the Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community, home to the Sacred Heart Church and its glimmering pearl shell altar. Then travel north to the One Arm Point Community and view the impressive Buccaneer Archipelago, witnessing the huge tidal flows of the Kimberley, the largest in the southern hemisphere. The Community’s own aquaculture hatchery, complete with reef fish and trochus shell, is perched right on the tip of One Arm Point and well worth a visit. Returning south reach Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm. The only working pearl farm open to the public, Cygnet Bay offers an introduction to the history and cultivation of the world’s finest pearls whilst enjoying a picnic lunch. Across the peninsula discover Cape Leveque (locally known as Kooljaman). Enjoy time to relax on the pristine beaches and spectacular coastline the cape is renowned for. Then reboard the vehicle for the journey back to Broome, arriving at approximately 7.00pm.
